VISA 3F96 Group 1 Project 3
This project is somewhat considered experimental art for me. I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to turn out. I originally wanted to draw with the ink on the surface of the water to create an image that changes slowly and moves but that ended up being a failure. After I put the ink in the water I noticed the ink falling to the bottom of the container and realized how mesmerizing and beautiful the movement it was creating was. That is how I came about filming this for my project.

Invest your time.
Inspired by Yoko Ono's "Grapefruit" I wanted to look at time in a different way. So often are we living in this fast paced world that we often don't take time to ourselves. I have started to create a small book of "instructions" that one would need to invest time into, therefore investing in themselves.
This is just a rough sort of draft. Hoping to actually make the book out of hand-made paper, etc.

Invisibility
I consider this attempt at Invisibility a Failure. I was inspired by artist Joseph Beuys, "I like America and America
likes me" (1974) where this artist preforms in a small room with a Coyote and at one point in the performance he was cloaked .
There was also a particular scene in the movie "Snow White and the Huntsman"(2012), where the mirror on the wall extends outward from the golden mirror and was fully "cloaked" with Golden drapery representing invisibity by which only the Queen could see him.

Braille assignment
In terms of the Braille assignment, my interpretation turned out to be a little bit different than the tactile physicality of Braille. Instead what was done was transitioning the form of language into something that is both concrete and visually physical in nature. The essence of the text was transformed into the image of the Mona Lisa in a concrete poem style. Text is normally a primary form of communication however in this project, it becomes secondary when it comes to the form of visual language.
